Last updated: August 1, 2026
1. Who we are
Vital Earth Living (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates www.vitalearthliving.com. For privacy questions, contact us at vitalearthlivingrooted@gmail.com or (805) 709-0879. For the purposes of the GDPR, Vital Earth Living is the data controller for information collected through this site.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact form: your name, email address, optional phone number, the service you are interested in, and your message.
- Nervous system quiz: your answers, your name, email address, and optional phone number.
- Booking and correspondence: anything you choose to share when arranging or attending a session.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. Our hosting provider records these for security and reliability.
- Analytics: if analytics are enabled, aggregate usage data such as page views and approximate location. We do not use analytics to identify individuals.
What we do not collect
We do not knowingly collect health records or clinical information through this website, and we ask that you not send sensitive medical details through our forms, as they are not HIPAA-secured channels. We do not collect information from children under 13. We do not sell personal information.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
This site is built to work without advertising or tracking cookies. Cookies that may be set fall into these categories:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function and for basic security. These cannot be disabled.
- Analytics (optional): if enabled, these help us understand which pages are useful. They are aggregate and do not identify you.
- Third-party embeds: the map on our contact page is served by Google and may set cookies under Google’s privacy policy.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site from working.
4. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and arrange consultations or sessions
- To send your quiz results and the practice resources you requested
- To send occasional updates and articles, where you have opted in, and you can unsubscribe at any time
- To operate, secure, and improve the website
- To meet legal and record-keeping obligations
5. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Consent: marketing emails and optional analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time.
- Contract: responding to inquiries and delivering services you have requested.
- Legitimate interests: keeping the site secure and functioning, balanced against your rights.
- Legal obligation: where retention or disclosure is required by law.
6. Sharing your information
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the practice, and only as needed:
- Hosting: Vercel Inc., which serves this website and processes server logs.
- Email delivery: our transactional email provider, used to send form submissions and quiz results.
- Email marketing: our mailing list provider, where you have opted in.
We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of any person. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

- Contact inquiries: up to 3 years from your last contact with us
- Quiz submissions: up to 2 years, or until you unsubscribe

- Client session records: as required by professional and legal standards
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and rate-limited, and access to submitted information is limited to Sara Taylor. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, so please use session time rather than web forms for anything sensitive.
9. Your rights
If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR)
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

You have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Request correction of inaccurate personal information

- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights
We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CPRA, and we do not process it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

10. Marketing emails
Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that takes effect immediately. You will still receive necessary messages about sessions you have booked.
11. International transfers
