Meet the Creator of the Rooted Resilience Method™

My path into somatic trauma work wasn't a straight line — it was a lived journey through loss, rebuilding, and returning to myself.

I've spent most of my adult life studying how humans restore, how the nervous system responds to overwhelm, and how the body holds stories long after the mind has moved on. But my deepest training didn't come from books or classrooms. It came from life itself.

A Life Shaped by Loss, Resilience, and Reconnection

I experienced trauma early in life, but the defining rupture came in 2010 when I tragically lost my husband. That loss shattered the world I knew and sent me into years of survival mode — toxic relationships, addiction, and patterns that pulled me further from myself.

I explored several restorative modalities from talk therapy to cord cutting ceremonies. Eventually found my way into addiction counseling, where I trained in motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care. But the traditional industry approach didn't align with my values. I knew restoration required more than behavior management — it required nervous-system safety, embodiment, and connection.

So, I stepped away and rebuilt my life from the ground up.

Restoration Through the Earth

For five years, I farmed—growing food for my community, studying holistic nutrition and Ayurvedic lifestyle, teaching what true nourishment means in a world where food often lacks its former vitality, and reconnecting with nature's rhythms.

Farming became my medicine.

It taught me:

  • how the body responds to slowness

  • how tending the earth mirrors tending the self

  • how restoration happens in cycles, not timelines

  • how nourishment is a daily practice, not a quick fix

The garden became the place where my nervous system finally exhaled. This was my training and it honored my body's innate wisdom.

Training That Honors the Body's Wisdom

Alongside my earth-based restoration work, I trained in:

  • Ayurvedic lifestyle principles

  • Motivational interviewing

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Addiction counseling

  • The NEST Technique (Neuro-Emotional Sequence Technique) — studied under Dr. Angela Martin King

NEST became the missing piece — a modality that works directly with the nervous system, honors the body's pace, and supports emotional, physical, and chemical release in a safe container, without force. It aligned perfectly with everything I had learned through farming, Holistic Nutrition, Ayurveda, and my own restorative journey.

The Birth of the Rooted Resilience Method™

The Rooted Resilience Method™ is the integration of all these threads:

  • somatic nervous-system work

  • NEST technique

  • trauma-informed communication

  • daily practices (mine is the garden…what is yours?)

  • the wisdom of lived experience

It's a method built for real people with real histories — people who want to feel safe in their bodies again, who want to release what they've been carrying, and who want a restorative path that is gentle, sustainable, and deeply human.

Why I Do This Work

I do this work because I know what it feels like to lose yourself — and what it takes to come home again.

I know the courage it takes to face your own patterns. I know the exhaustion of living in survival mode. I know the relief of finally feeling your body soften in a safe container. I know the power of being met with compassion instead of judgment.

And I know that your body's own restoration is possible — not through force, but through connection, safety, and presence.

My Approach Today

When you work with me, you're not just receiving a modality — you're receiving a guide who has walked the path herself.

 My approach is:

  •  gentle and provides a safe container

  • non-invasive

  • nervous-system centered

  • trauma-informed

  • deeply human

  • built on trust

I help people access their innate ability to release emotional, physical, and chemical blockages, reconnect with their bodies, and build daily practices that support long-term resilience.

A Final Word

Vital Earth Living is more than a business — it's the life I rebuilt from the soil up. It's the place where my lived experience, my training, and my purpose meet.

If you're ready to reconnect with your body's natural intelligence and begin your own restorative journey, I would be honored to walk beside you.
